0Elizabethtown Terminal Railroad
ELIZABETHTOWN.—The Windsor and Deer’s Head Inn are open for the season. Work on the Elizabethtown Terminal Railroad is progressing rapidly. A 200-horsepower combination car has been purchased of The McKeen Motor Car Company of
Omaha for use on their road, which will be completed about August 1.
An Oregon Railroad
A Gallon of Gas.
The motors have a storage tank that holds 120 gallons and which will run a car 350 miles. A gallon of gasoline will run a car between three and four miles. Master Mechanic J. H. Doyle who spent a month at the factory of the McKeen Motor Car Company in Omaha studying the construction of the-cars, and Engineer Frank Doane accompanied the cars over the road. When in operation Engineers Doane and Armstrong will be in charge. An expert from the factory will be here for a month instructing the local pilots. The short Line men say that they have no fear of snow as the new cars plow through anything up to four and five feet high and make schedule time.

OMAHA. Neb.. July 8.-W. R. McKeen has resigned a superintendent of motive power, and machinery of the Union Pacific Railroad Company, to manage for E. H. Harriman, of the McKeen Motor Car Shops, which will be established In Omaha with a capital of $1,000,000. B. F. Fuller, who has been assistant to Mr. McKeen. succeeds him as superintendent of motive power and machinery at the Union Pacific shops, effective July 20.
